Modernity may have failed us, but the arena circuit hasn't as The 1975 announce a massive tour of the country's biggest live music venues for the start of 2019 - with support from Dirty Hit label buds, Pale Waves and No Rome.
Matty, George, Adam and Ross will make their live return at the start of next year, following the release of their much anticipated third album 'A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships', which is set to arrive on 30th November.
The band will kick off the tour in Belfast on 9th January before heading to Dublin, Glasgow, Cardiff, Brighton, London, Exeter, Birmingham, Manchester and Sheffield.
Tickets, as announced on Twitter yesterday, will be available in the Actually Quite Reasonable £20-£35 range when they go on sale.
Tickets for our show will be £20 - £35 🖤🖤— 🥾🌍 (@Truman_Black) September 10, 2018
Face value UK for @the1975 is 20 - 35 + whatever the service fee is (we have tried to limit to 10% - please let us know what’s up)Tomorrow is about limited pre sale access and launching album pre order. We will be on hand tomorrow to answer any questions. I’m nervous! 🖤— Jamie Oborne (@jamieoborne) September 9, 2018
The news comes as that album - 'A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships' - conveniently comes available for pre-order. Those who grab the record direct from the band before 18th September get early access booking for the tour, which is nice. General sale starts on Friday, 21st September at 9am.
There are a few different album formats available - a CD (obvs), double-gatefold black vinyl, an exclusive clear vinyl, and an exclusive cassette tape. Packages include loads of signed bundles, featuring a combination of formats, t-shirts, art cards and the like.
The tracklisting for 'A Brief Inquiry' reads:
It's one of a pair of albums expected in the next twelve months under the band's 'Music For Cars' era banner, with a follow-up 'Notes On A Conditional Form' due for arrival midway through 2019. Decamped in Los Angeles, the boys are reportedly already at work on recording that full-length as we speak. Ooooooh, etc.
