‘TFCF' is a return to where Liars began.

Label: Mute
Released: 25th August 2017
Rating: ★★★

A little bit all over the shop, you wouldn't expect anything less from Liars. Now on their eighth outing, and everything now coming solely from Angus Andrews, you can feel the vast openness that comes from such changes.

Not adhering to any sort of flow or consistency you find yourself going from desolate electronica, through to atmospheric nature twinned with an acoustic guitar.

Almost impossible to pin to one genre, ‘TFCF' is a return to where Liars began - filled to the brim with a manic urgency that can dissipate as quickly as it begins. Steven Loftin
