YUNGBLUD has shared a powerful new track and video for ‘mars’

Ramping things up ahead of the release of his anticipated second album next week (December 4th), YUNGBLUD has shared a powerful new track in ‘mars’

Telling the personal story of when he met a young trans woman while playing the famed Warped Tour in 2018, it comes with a standout new video that brings home the importance of acceptance, being yourself and love in the face of hate. Speaking about the encounter, YUNGBLUD recalls “she told me how her parents had come to the show with her, and how seeing our community helped them to understand that her coming out as trans wasn’t just a phase—this is who she really was. It made me cry to think that we could have that kind of impact and change people’s perceptions, just by being ourselves”.

‘mars’ is the latest track to be revealed by YUNGBLUD (following 'cotton candy', 'god save me, but don't drown me out', 'strawberry lipstick' and 'weird!') in the run-up to the release of his hotly anticipated second album ‘weird!’, out next week (December 4th).
