The Vaccines pulled their Blackburn show mid-set when the barrier collapsed

The Vaccines were forced to halt their show at Blackburn's King George's Hall last night (Monday 28th January) due to safety concerns.

“The decision to stop the show was not ours,” they explain, “but the safety barrier in the venue kept collapsing and if we had continued people would undoubtedly have been seriously injured.”

Check out their full statement below - they’ve promised to reschedule so they can “finish what we started”.

The band are currently touring their new album ‘Combat Sports’, with the remaining tour visiting:

JANUARY
29 NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE O2 Academy Newcastle
30 MOTHERWELL Concert Hall and Theatre

FEBRUARY
01 CARDIFF University Great Hall
02 EXETER Great Hall
03 SOUTHAMPTON O2 Guildhall
05 LEICESTER IO2 Academy Leicester
07 GUILDFORD G Live
08 LONDON Roundhouse

Sam Fender is a man on a mission. Already beating current ‘biggest noise on the block’ Lewis Capaldi to a Brit Award, as his debut album nears its much-anticipated arrival, the sky really is the limit for an artist not short of stuff to say.
