Introducing the new issue of Dork, featuring Foals

There’s no denying it; these days, Foals are elder statesmen of indie. To those of us with a long enough memory, it might feel like only yesterday they were up-and-comers, dressed in their tennis whites and having a giggle, but over time they’ve become something far more robust and strident.

Whether you’re someone who preferred those earlier sparks, or their later, imperial phase, there’s no denying their 2019 has been impressive. With their two-part ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost’ project about to receive its second instalment, they’re a band at the top of their games. We’re delighted to welcome to the cover for the first time for this month's new issue - even if we’re slightly worried that the rest of the band have a plan of what to do if something happens to Yannis. Planning something, lads?

Elsewhere this month, some of our favourites are celebrating new albums - from awesome debuts from King Nun and Feet through to a Really Very Brilliant second effort from Pumarosa. They're all in this month's mag, alongside new interviews with Duckwrth, Pizzagirl, Husky Loops, Girl Ray, Waterparks, Matt Maltese, Thyla and more.

In Hype, we introduce you to hot new upstarts Joesef and Biig Piig, there's all the latest reviews and news, Girl In Red takes on our random queries in Any Other Questions, and loads, loads more besides.

If you want to grab one, you can order a copy below or subscribe here. Alternatively, you can pick up one from our nationwide stockists, or read it on Issuu 'digitally' here.

Walthamstow's Olivia comfort in music more so than Dean wears her heart on her sleeve; every tune an introspective masterclass in storytelling.

BENEE: "2020 has been a bloody shitter"

A rare bright point in a pretty damn difficult year, BENEE's arrival has been a serotonin shot in the arm. With her debut album finally here, the future looks brighter already.

Shame: "I promise you, we'll do Brixton Academy soon"

The wait for shame's second album may seem to have lasted longer than it actually has. as they stand on the edge of a huge 2021, we get ready for a record that isn't supposed to be funny, but...
