The National have shared another teaser track from their upcoming record, check out 'Light Years'

The National have shared a new track from their upcoming eighth studio album.

'Light Years' is taken from ‘I Am Easy To Find’, which will be released on 17th May via 4AD, and has already been preceded by lead single ‘You Had Your Soul With You’.

The album features guest vocals from Gail Ann Dorsey, Lisa Hannigan, Sharon Van Etten, Mina Tindle, Kate Stables, and the Brooklyn Youth Choir.

“Yes, there are a lot of women singing on this, but it wasn't because, ‘Oh, let's have more women's voices’,” says vocalist Matt Berninger. “It was more, ‘Let's have more of a fabric of people's identities’. It would have been better to have had other male singers, but my ego wouldn't let that happen.”

A companion short film with the same name, starring Alicia Vikander, will also be released with music by The National and inspired by the album.
