The 1975's gigantic new bop 'If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)' will be the next to be released

THE MEGABANGER COMMETH, DEAR READER! IT COMMETH SOON!

It's just under two weeks since The 1975 debuted one of their new 'Notes On A Conditional Form' tracks, 'If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)' live at the opening date of their UK tour. All sax and hipshakes, since then, it's taken on a life of its own.

As the band rip round the country, the track has spread beyond the confines of the live environment. At the weekend's London shows, frontman Matty Healy suggested it'd be next off the ranks in previewing the forthcoming record. Now, taking to Twitter, he's confirmed it.

After proclaiming "'Notes' is defo the best one" but also "the weirdest", he announced the news we've all been waiting for - "'If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)'' is up next."

And if you've forgotten what it sounds like, prepare to hit repeat for the next six hours.

It follows a suggestion from Matty at last night's (26th February) show that the release for 'Notes...' may slip back a few weeks.

According to fans at the band's Liverpool date at the city's M&S Bank Arena, frontman Matty Healy announced from the stage the record would be delayed for "a couple of weeks" because he intends to keep writing more stuff.

"Matty said tonight the album is going to be pushed back by a couple of weeks," writes popular fan account @The1975_Tour, who were present at the show. "They want it to be the best it can be and they're still writing stuff."

There's no official update from the band yet - with the release of 'Notes...' currently scheduled for 24th April. The 1975 are in the middle of their UK tour, and have promised a new track every month leading up to the record. Last week, they delivered the weirdly wonderful 'The Birthday Party', and yes - we've only just stopped having nightmares over the video.

The band's tour continues on Friday (28th February) in Manchester.

Mystery Jets: "You never know what the future holds"

At the back end of last year, Mystery Jets were all prepped to drop their brand new album. Then they weren’t. Six months later and a band-member down, they’re back on track (pretty much) and ready to go.

Tones And I: Top of the Pops

Tones And I is a name that has taken over radio airwaves since unexpected smash ‘Dance Monkey’ flew to the Number 1 spot around the world. For Aussie popster Toni Watson, the journey from the busking unknown was really somethin’ else.
