Sports Team have signed Ugly to their label, Holm Front

Sports Team have signed their first band to their new record label, Holm Front.

Ugly - who recently supported the band at their Scala headliner - will release ‘The Last Supper At The Regal Wetherspoon’ and ‘Redemption, On the Road To Damascus’ on 7” from 10th December.

“We go to a lot of shows and once in a while see a band we love,” Sports Team explain. “For us, the label's a way of putting a bit more than goodwill behind them. Ugly are the best new band in London, so felt like an ideal first release. That and we didn’t have the cash for Black Midi.”

Ugly add: “For these two tracks we’ve decided to take a more hymnic approach to our indie rock music. Immerse yourself in ‘The Last Supper at the Regal Wetherspoons’ and ‘Redemption on the Road to Damascus’ to find spiritual satisfaction, as well as a few minutes of music to relax, tap your feet or clap your hands!”

Sam Fender is a man on a mission. Already beating current ‘biggest noise on the block’ Lewis Capaldi to a Brit Award, as his debut album nears its much-anticipated arrival, the sky really is the limit for an artist not short of stuff to say.
