Self Esteem is 'The Best' on her debut album 'Compliments Please'

Self Esteem - AKA Rebecca Lucy Taylor, who you may know from being one half of Slow Club - has announced details of her debut album, and dropped a Really Very Good new track.

The first full-length under her new guise, 'Compliments Please' is set for release on Fiction Records on 1st March 2019. The news comes alongside another cut from the record, aptly titled 'The Best'. Because, like, it is.

"I am overwhelmingly proud to have finally made the record that’s been sitting in my guts since I was a child,” says Rebecca. “It has been challenging and incredibly frightening but so much more satisfying because of this. I wanted to make pop music for my fellow flawed, squashed and disgusting humans having a go at life. I feel I’ve succeeded. And if I haven’t, I’m hoping to make a fair few more.”

The record is available to pre-order now, with a UK tour planned for this March. You can check out 'The Best' below.

Feelin' hypersonic: Sam Fender

Sam Fender is a man on a mission. Already beating current ‘biggest noise on the block’ Lewis Capaldi to a Brit Award, as his debut album nears its much-anticipated arrival, the sky really is the limit for an artist not short of stuff to say.
