Rina Sawayama explores male confidence with her new 'Comme Des Garçons (Like The Boys)' video

Rina Sawayama has shared her new video for 'Comme Des Garçons (Like The Boys)'.

A cut from her upcoming debut album 'Sawayama', due 17th April via Dirty Hit, the clip was directed by Eddie Whelan and creatively directed by Ben Ditto.

“Male confidence can quite often be a performance - in the media, in the workplace, in movies, in music and that's what I wanted to explore with this video with Eddie and Ben," Rina explains of the concept.

"We are entering a secret and surreal lab where this masculine figure is being scanned and studied, then going on this wild journey through different versions of myself. We wanted to make a music video that's got humour, movement and is essentially a fashion film that combined the visual worlds of Hype Williams, Hiroyuki Nakano, and Boris Vallejo.”

Check out 'Comme Des Garçons (Like The Boys)' below, and catch Rina on tour in the UK this May.

Tones And I: Top of the Pops

Tones And I is a name that has taken over radio airwaves since unexpected smash ‘Dance Monkey’ flew to the Number 1 spot around the world. For Aussie popster Toni Watson, the journey from the busking unknown was really somethin’ else.
