Lucy Dacus is celebrating Christmas with a cover of Wham's 'Last Christmas'

“I don't really like Christmas," she explains. "In the studio, we listened to the original of ‘Last Christmas’ and didn't talk about an arrangement.

"I just told everyone to play it angry. This is what happened first take. It actually came out pretty fun, maybe a tad psychotic."

It's the latest song in her '2019' song series, following on from tributes to the 4th of July, US Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Halloween and more as part of a run of songs commemorating key dates through the year.

The tracks will be compiled into an EP - along with an original ode to New Years titled ‘Fools Gold’ - for release on 8th November.
