Idlewild are celebrating 25 years with an anniversary tour

Idlewild are celebrating 25 years with an anniversary tour.

The run will take place this November, kicking off at the Tramshed in Cardiff, and culminating with a homecoming gig at Edinburgh's Usher Hall.

"When Rod, Colin and I met and formed idlewild in 1995, I don't suppose any of us expected that we'd still be playing shows and recording songs together twenty five years later," says frontman Roddy Woomble.

"It feels great to get the chance to celebrate the records and songs we have made together over the last quarter of a century with our fans, and these very special concerts will feature all the band members who have been part of the Idlewild family and story since 1995."

The dates read:

NOVEMBER
4 Tramshed, Cardiff
5 Electric Brixton, London
9 O2 Ritz, Manchester
10 Button Factory, Dublin
11 The Empire, Belfast
14 Usher Hall, Edinburgh

Mystery Jets: "You never know what the future holds"

At the back end of last year, Mystery Jets were all prepped to drop their brand new album. Then they weren’t. Six months later and a band-member down, they’re back on track (pretty much) and ready to go.

Tones And I: Top of the Pops

Tones And I is a name that has taken over radio airwaves since unexpected smash ‘Dance Monkey’ flew to the Number 1 spot around the world. For Aussie popster Toni Watson, the journey from the busking unknown was really somethin’ else.
