Hookworms have announced they “can no longer continue as a band”

Hookworms have split following online allegations made against frontman, MJ.

“We’re deeply shocked by the allegations that came to light yesterday regarding MJ, and take them very seriously,” his former bandmates say in a statement, posted to social media yesterday (31st October).

“As a result we have cancelled all upcoming Hookworms shows and can no longer continue as a band.”

You can read the allegations - which detail "sexual, physical, emotional abuse" - here, and MJ's later statement here.

The band were touring in support of their latest album 'Microshift', released earlier this year via Domino.
