Boy Pablo heads to the footy pitch in the new video for ‘hey girl’

THE FOOTBALL IS BACK! Yes in that sense, but also in the new video for ‘Hey Girl’ from Boy Pablo

Chronicling the story of the person known as ‘Wachito Rico’ (handily played by Boy Pablo himself and narrated by Tiger King’s Rick Kirkham), it’s another classic day on the football field. Y’know, having a good game, falling in love, riding a bike into the sunset… wait, why does our visits to the footy always end up in hot dogs, rain and Bovril?

Anyway, speaking about the video, director Eivind Landsvik explains: “After a lot of bouncing ideas back and forth we wanted to create a narrative of Wachito Rico's love life, and it was natural to start with 'hey girl' as the first chapter of his love life. I can't wait to show you the rest of the world we have created for this new album and character.”

‘hey girl’ is the first track taken from Boy Pablo’s anticipated debut album ‘Wachito Rico’ - out on October 23rd
