He's heading out on tour with Rat Boy soon, too.

Ten Tonnes' debut album is "coming along nicely", so that's good isn't it
Bradley Walsh's biggest fan, Ten Tonnes already has a 14/10 banger under his belt with 'Cracks Between' - and it's just the beginning.

Hey Ten Tonnes, how’s it going?
All good, thank you!

Did you have a good 2017? Any particular highlights?
Yeah it's been great, it's gone super quickly though, each year seems to go quicker, which is always a bit scary. Highlights are putting out new music, playing loads of great festivals, I've loved it all.

What do you think was the biggest music-related news story of 2017?
Tom Petty's death was a massive deal. I got to see him this summer in Hyde Park, and it was hands down one of the best gigs I've ever been to. I'm a huge fan so it was a real shock, I was gutted.

We hear you’re making good progress on your debut album - what can you tell us about it?
Oooh, what can I tell you? Not too much at the minute, it's coming along nicely though, haha. Still very much in the early days of recording but it's so exciting, I'm gonna have an album! That alone is massive. I still need to think of a name for it though, that might come later in the process though.

Do you enjoy working in the studio?
I love it, being able to try different things out and using a bit of your brain you don't always get to use.

What else have you got in the diary for 2018?
So early next year I'm supporting Rat Boy on his UK tour, which I'm super excited about. They'll be the biggest shows I've ever played! There's also new music coming out early doors at the start of the year. Then more touring, hopefully my own tour, more tunes, more Ten Tonnes for everyone.

Aside from your own, what album are you most looking forward to coming out next year?
Good question, I'm not sure what's coming out to be fair. I mean if Arctic Monkeys release that'll be huge. When's Bradley Walsh's new album coming out? I'm excited for that. I was almost going to be on that album actually, haha. I won a competition to go to the studio with him and then have lunch up the Shard, but I was in the studio myself on the day. If Bradley's reading this, hi mate, let's organise a different date yeah? Hope you're well.

The festive period is very nearly over - what’s the best Christmas present you’ve ever received?
My sister always gives great presents; she got me a Ralph Steadman print a couple of years ago, he's my absolute favourite artist, so that was sick.

Sam Fender is a man on a mission. Already beating current ‘biggest noise on the block’ Lewis Capaldi to a Brit Award, as his debut album nears its much-anticipated arrival, the sky really is the limit for an artist not short of stuff to say.

Speaking to Matt Wilkinson on Beats 1, the trio revealed that will "definitely" be more from them before the year is out.
