The Rhythm Method - Chin Up
Published: 3:37 pm, June 11, 2018

Football’s coming home! Maybe... well, possibly... we’ve got a shot at least, haven’t we? No, not really, but don’t worry, the lovely Rhythm Method chaps have written a World Cup anthem to listen to whilst England let in goal after goal after goal (after goal, after goal).

The aptly titled ‘Chin Up’ is a blend of ‘World in Motion’ and ‘Three Lions’ with an added dose of that patented Rhythm Method flair. A little bit synthy, a little bit Ian Dury-ey, and with a chorus you can shout at the top of your voice with a few thousand other people at a stadium in Russia, it’s got all the hallmarks of a classic world cup anthem. The video also features Dork faves Wolf Alice and Swim Deep, which is nice.

Listen, we probably aren’t going to win the World Cup, and we didn’t win Eurovision either. But we can win the World Cup’s Equivalent of Eurovision with this absolutely stonking track. Chin Up England, at least we’re better at making bangers than we are at scoring goals.
