'Boyfriend' may be the single, but it's 'U-Turn' that's the real mega-banger from Tegan and Sara's latest album.

Mega-banger!

Tegan and Sara's last album may have been a pop masterpiece, but their next one sounds even bigger. Lead single 'Boyfriend' is far from a slouch. In fact, it's a banger in it's own right. But when 'U-Turn' comes mere hours later, hot on its heels and packing more high explosives than your average summer blockbuster, all bets are well and truly off.

There's no reinvention of the glorious Tegan and Sara template here. Why try and improve on something already pretty much perfect? Distilled, double strength concentrate synth pop is the order of the day. "Give me a second, let me U-Turn, write you the love song you've earned," the refrain blasts - a confessional you can dance to. Is there anything these two can't do?

Tegan and Sara's new album 'Love You To Death' is released on June 8th.
