If you do something well, you should keep doing it, right?
That’s exactly the mantra that FIDLAR seem to live by. While less secure bands may decide to rip up their snotty punk rulebook and try some emotional folk or Bavarian nose jazz, there’s little chance of Zac Carper and co. making such jarring departures any time soon.
That’s a good thing, because when it comes to reckless abandon, FIDLAR are almost peerless. Following up on the equally self-destructive ‘Alcohol’, ‘Are You High? Ft. The 90s’ staggers past in it’s own intoxicated haze. It might be stoned off its face, but it at least remembers it had to tell us something about a massive slacker pop hook line. So much so, it insists on repeating it again and again.
Coming in at a short-attention-span pleasing sub three minutes, there’s nothing big or clever about FIDLAR’s latest rough cut gem, but that’s not the point. When you do something well…
