Noughts and Crosses. If anything’s worth writing a song about, it’s this game of wit, grit and determination.

Django Django’s ‘Tic Tac Toe’ finally fills this hole in musical history, and it sounds great to boot. Opening with an echo-laden “Tic…Tac…Toe!” the track soon kicks into gear, with the lads on genre-hopping form throughout.

There’s something playful about ‘Tic Tac Toe’ (and no, we don’t just mean the name), with the whole song acting as the audio equivalent of a cheeky grin, and the band obviously revelling in the recording process. Django Django may have been around for a while now, but with ‘Tic Tac Toe’ they’ve proven they can still make a gold-plated banger. Jake Hawkes
