Never underestimate the restorative power of a little time out.

D’you ever want to have a little break? Maybe just from yourself. And from other people. Well good news, because there’s a song for that. Courtney Barnett has delivered the goods once again, this time with ‘Need a Little Time’.

To be honest with you, it’s not exactly a cheery tune. ‘Need A Little Time’ is hazy in a hungover sort of way, as if its the morning after a big night and you’re trying to sort your life out but you can even bring yourself to open the curtains. You know? It’s exactly like that, but with an excellent, shredding riff at the end of it. The good news is that this kind of downbeat introspection is healthy, especially when it comes packaged with Courtney’s gentle vocal.

We feel better already. Don’t you? Never underestimate the restorative power of a little time out. Liam Konemann
